1. What is LED?

LED is the English abbreviation of light emitting diode (LIGHT EMITTING DIODE). The LED in the display industry refers to the LED that can emit visible wavelengths.

2. What is COB technology?

COB, an acronym for English (Chip On Board), is a new type of small-pitch display pixel packaging technology, that is, LED light-emitting chips are directly packaged on a PCB circuit board, and used as a basic unit to form a module And the box, and then seamlessly spliced into a technical way of LED display.

3. What is SMD and SMT technology

AMD, is the acronym for English (Surface Mounted Devices), meaning: Surface Mounted Devices. This kind of device is the LED lamp bead often said in the LED display industry. SMT is the acronym of English (Surface Mounted Technology), which means: surface mount technology. That is, a technology for mounting SMD lamp beads on the PCB circuit board. This technology belongs to the traditional surface-mounted lamp bead display technology. At present, most of the industry is this traditional SMT and SMD LED display.

4. Comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of COB and SMD technology LED displays

The current mainstream packaging technology for LED displays is SMD surface mount technology. As a rising star, COB gradually demonstrates its performance. After comparison, COB has more advantages than traditional SMD surface mount technology in terms of technological advancement and practicality.

5. What is the pixel pitch (dot pitch)?

The center distance between two adjacent pixels. The smaller the distance, the shorter the visible distance. People in the industry usually abbreviate P to indicate the dot pitch.

6. What is pixel density?

Also called dot matrix density, it usually refers to the number of pixels per square meter of the display screen.

7. What is an LED display module?

A basic unit that has a certain circuit and installation structure, has a display function, and can realize the display screen function through simple assembly.

8. What is a plug-in module, and what are the advantages and disadvantages?

It means that the DIP packaged lamp passes the lamp pin through the PCB board, and fills the tin into the lamp hole by soldering. The module made by this process is the plug-in lamp module. The advantages are: high brightness, good heat dissipation, but the disadvantages are The pixel density is small.

9. What is a surface mount module? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Surface mount is also called SMT. The SMT packaged lamp is soldered to the surface of the PCB board through a soldering process. The lamp pin does not need to pass through the PCB board. The module made by this process is called a surface mount module. The advantage is: good display effect. The pixel density is large, suitable for indoor viewing: the disadvantage is that the brightness is not high enough, and the heat dissipation of the lamp itself is not good enough.

10. What is a USB interface

The English abbreviation of USB is UNIVERSAL SERIALBUS, translated into Chinese is: Universal Serial Bus. Also known as the universal serial interface, it can support hot swap and can connect up to 127 PC peripherals: there are two interface standards: USB1.0 and USB2.0.
